In a brutal bit of peer bullying, AdГЁle is taunted by her classmates for wandering off with a вЂњtomboy,вЂќ a вЂњdyke.вЂќ If this was вЂњCarrie,вЂќ AdГЁle would burn them all at the prom. Respective parents are introduced, meals consumed, friends met. Our enthusiasm and empathy for the couple increases with every (funny, awkward, touching) scene.
